Budgie Sights
Sight of the Budgerigar .

Aerodynamically shaped, budgies resemble a bowling pin from the front. They're about 8 inches from head to the tip of their tails. They come in a variety of colours. The main hues are green and blue, but albino (white) and lutino (yellow) varieties exist. Since breeder's became more knowledgeable in their field, all sorts of new combinations have been cropping up! There's an old tail about the red budgie that turned out to be painted. What a quack!

On this page are a few of the budgie picture's I've managed to steel. Some are taken from books, and some were found around the web. The captions are only educated guesses at what's going on in the birds' heads. No-one can tell what a budgie is actually thinking!

Quest for a Nest

"Honey, give me a break! This is the fifth nest we've found and you still don't like it?!"

The eggs were so quiet...

"MOM! Toby's pushing me again! Tell him to stop!" "Mom! MOM!!! Susan pulled my tail!" "Mom! I'm hungry! When to we eat?!" "Mommy! Jim's scaring me again! He's telling me that we're all gonna hafta go away someday!"

Fido knows who's boss

"MMMM! Dog food!"

Crash Course

"AAAAAA! LOOK OUT! OUTTA THE WAY! OUTTA THE WAY! Sorry..."

Bird-Brained

"Hmm, if H equals Pi squared root two over x squared plus 2x plus 7/2, I should be able to make it to that curtain rod from down here."
