Sure, Google inflicted Buzz on Gmail users without asking, leading to lots of embarrassment all around (especially for those that use it for business). But they've been busy improving the service since then. They've recently added the Re-share feature, and a mobile version that actually works on most handhelds.
I've been posting lots of random programming thoughts on Google Buzz.
Here are some things I like about it:
- Posts can be as long as you want, and include videos, photos, and *bold* and _italic_ text.
- Comments turn each post into a conversation, and let you discover people you never would have known
- Likewise, searching for buzz "nearby" lets you find people with similar interests in your own neighbourhood.
In summary, its a great networking tool.
